It’s not Rock Band, it’s Dock Band!
From Steely Dan’s legendary 1977 album Aja, “Peg” was the first promotional single, and reached the top 15 on the US Billboard Hot 100 chart. Like most other Steely Dan staples, “Peg” features some of the most prolific session players of all time and includes backing vocals from Michael McDonald, a fantastically percussive and complex bassline by Chuck Rainey, and a killer guitar solo by Jay Graydon. “Peg” is a massively popular and incredibly fun to play track that you can pick up this Thursday.
Sticking with the water theme in both the band name and the intro line of the track, “Grand Canyon” is the third track from Austin-based duo The Wind and The Wave’s 2016 album Happiness Is Not A Place. The song features a distorted acoustic guitar intro, an upbeat indie-rock style drum groove and some great vocal harmonies.
If you’re enjoying “Grand Canyon,” you can check out www.thewindandthewave.com and check out their latest albums, grab some merch and keep any eye out for any future tour dates.
Both of these awesome tracks are included in the Season 24 Season Pass. Pick it up today and save big on the entire season of DLC.
Steely Dan “Peg” and The Wind and The Wave “Grand Canyon” are available for $1.99 each.
